Ever wondered what Blackbox 1 looks like?
Here is a photo of Blackbox 1 in our data centre. If you’re backing up with our back up service, this is where your data sits.
At the top is an Apple Xserve, below that 14 drive bays of RAID storage which is the main backup destination, and at the bottom a 16 drive bay RAID storage box which backs up the backup!
You’ll also notice a little 1TB firewire drive top right, which we use to restore client data to, when it needs to be hand-delivered to a client site rather than restored over the ‘net.
